This round seats a 149 grain full metal jacket projectile. You save money when you fire a bullet that isn’t designed to mushroom as it plunges into muscle tissue. This is a bullet which is designed to chamber without jamming, avert excessive barrel fouling, and hold a flat trajectory throughout the 7.62×51’s entire effective range. A cannelure around the bullet’s shank helps to avoid the setback that could have occurred during recoil. Please be advised that this is a magnetic bullet with steel in its jacket.

These 500 American-made rounds are new production, Boxer-primed and non-corrosive. Their military-grade brass cases are still discolored from the annealing they underwent at the factory. This shows that the brass has been heated up so it can expand during ignition and more reliably return to its original dimensions afterward – not that it has been reloaded.
