This 17 HMR round is produced by CCI out of Lewiston, Idaho. Like all of CCI’s 17 HMR products, it is a great round for varmint or small game hunting. It is equipped with a 20 grain full metal jacket bullet, and its muzzle velocity is 2375 feet per second.

The FMJ bullet will not expand as much as some of CCI’s other 17 HMR offerings, making it a particularly attractive load if you are hunting primarily to acquire food. Plus, each round comes packed in a reusable plastic case with an easy-to-handle lid. One note from CCI about this particular product: for use in any firearm other than a 17 HMR rifle platform, be sure to first run it by your firearm manufacturer.
