Some shells produce gentler recoil by throwing a lighter charge of shot out of the muzzle. This shell takes the other approach: a relatively low muzzle velocity, which is just barely faster than the speed of sound at 1,150 fps. This 2-3/4 dram equivalent shell may generate too little chamber pressure to cycle a semi-automatic, but it’s otherwise perfect when you want less kick to accompany each shot.

Fiocchi loads this shell with a hinged wad, which compresses during ignition to soften out felt recoil even further. The wad also complements its hard lead #7.5 shot pellets’ ability to conserve the sphericity requisite for tight patterning.
