This round’s 100 grain HST jacketed hollow point is designed for one single purpose: neutralize a threat for self defense. The bullet will exhibit nearly 100 percent weight retention as it passes through heavy fabric and even tougher barriers, so its ability to penetrate soft tissue to an effective depth remains intact. The JHP’s nose cavity avoids clogging with debris until it fills with soft tissue. At that point the jacket splits neatly apart along its skives, which produces rapid six-pointed asterisk-shaped terminal expansion.
