The 5.7x28mm is the least popular NATO small arms cartridge in the United States (unless you count the 40mm grenade, which is arguably suboptimal for home defense). Does that mean you shouldn’t be able to order high-quality 5.7x28mm self-defense ammo? We certainly don’t believe so, which is why we’ve got Fiocchi’s Hyperformance Defense in stock.

This cartridge’s 40 grain projectile ends in a polymer tip. Its sharp profile assures that the bullet feeds correctly into the chamber, and also streamlines it to promote greater accuracy and energy delivery on impact. As with a polymer-tipped hunting bullet, the projectile’s tip also serves to create wider terminal expansion. If you removed the tip, you would see that it concealed a deep hollow point nose cavity.

Fiocchi’s deep-penetrating jacketed projectile is seated in a new reloadable brass case. Hyperformance Defense series ammunition features lead-free primers, which makes it an optimal choice for training in indoor ranges as well.
