Practice with 40 SW ammo that works for concealed carry with Winchester’s 125 grain +P semi-jacketed hollow point!
The .38 Special round has existed for over 125 years, and when loaded to high pressures, such as with this +P load, it makes an excellent choice for personal protection. The 125 grain bullet has a semi-jacketed hollow point; the exposed lead at the tip of the bullet is more likely to expand than a fully jacketed bullet, giving this round better terminal ballistics than an FMJ or solid lead projectile. Even while loaded to higher pressure than standard rounds, recoil is still easily managed in all but the smallest guns.
A 125 grain .38 Special +P will also shoot to the same point of impact as a 125 grain .357 Magnum round. That makes this cartridge a good choice for practice, as it costs less than equivalent .357 ammo and has much less recoil while preserving the all important point of impact/point of aim relationship. However, because this load uses a 125 grain semi-jacketed hollow-point, it’s also suitable for personal defense on its own.
This is new manufactured ammo in brass cases with boxer primers from Winchester. Available in boxes of 50, it’s an affordable option for personal protection or practice.
