HST is the newest iteration of Federal’s renowned personal
defense product line. Designed for police use, HST rounds use a deep hollow
point to promote six-petal expansion to more than double the bullet’s original
diameter. In the big .45 ACP round, that’s almost a full inch!

This standard-pressure load will work great in any .45 ACP
firearm that can handle hollow-points. The heavy 230-grain bullet leaves the
muzzle at 890 feet per second and imparts up to 404 foot-pounds of energy.
