This cartridge lobs a standard weight 240 grain semi-jacketed hollow point at its extremely unfortunate target. The projectile exerts over 750 ft lbs of bone-shattering energy against any target within 25 yards. The bullet’s flat nose profile is lever-action safe and establishes a wide wound channel on impact. As the SJHP presses against soft tissue, the unjacketed rim of its nose cavity splays outward to maximize energy transfer. Meanwhile, the SJHP’s nonferrous jacket keeps the bullet intact enough to penetrate to an effective depth for self-defense applications.
