A good price point for a quality round that is made for shooters who don’t want to reload but do want a high end shooting experience. The Blazer Aluminum ammunition line is known as a fantastic range round and the non-committal aluminum cartridge casing means you can appreciate your cost savings without having to devote time or effort to reloading or saving brass. This is a 240 grain .44 Magnum loaded with a semi-jacketed hollow point that is an obvious, proven projectile for the platform.
The aluminum case is strong enough for a single firing (it is strong enough perhaps for more, but it is NOT to be reloaded); the Boxer primer offers a reliable ignition and the powder, while slightly dirtier than the cleanest loads, is not particularly dirty. For an expensive caliber to shoot, this load certainly softens the blow to your wallet by offering a significant discount. The ballistic performance numbers are solid, but not crazy and the round can double as a self defense load in a pinch, for when you want to minimize overpenetration. The 1200 feet per second velocity and the 767 ft. lbs. of energy offers a potent stopping round, but lessens the risk slightly that can accompany the most potent .44 Mag loads.
