A cheap cost of entry for a defensive round with this kind of performance in a package size that will fill all your magazines for your duty weapon. This is the venerable Winchester White Box ammo, with a jacketed hollow point projectile in the 180 grain .40 S&W cartridge. It features a tried and true mix of components mostly produced in house by Winchester and which have been providing reliable service for range and duty weapons for decades in loads structured just like this one.
A relatively simple loadout from one of the premium ammunition producers in all of history, this is a very straightforward defensive load. It features a 180 grain jacketed hollow point with ballistics as follows: 1010 feet per second velocity and 408 ft. lbs. of energy delivered out of the muzzle. The relatively clean powder charge and the super high quality brass offers very good feed and function in all .40 S&W firearms. The brass case is also Boxer primed to allow for easy reloading and the projectile performs well in ballistic gelatin testing across the board. This round is a very legitimate performer when it comes to threat stoppage.
