A .38 Super Auto +P round in a 130 grain all metal jacket design by a premier producer: Remington UMC.
Most shooters assume that the .38 Super +P is somehow based on the 9mm Luger but aside from the fact that the .38 Super (known by a different name then) was introduced 2 years prior to the 9mm Luger, the assumption is still made. Furthermore because of some basic similarities like diameter and load pressure many assume they are substantially similar. That’s not the case either. In fact the .38 Super +P has some basic benefits over the 9mm. It’s a cult round in the USA for many reasons, not the least of which is its excellent performance, which once made it the literal “perfect” round for IPSC competitions.
For those shooters who know and love the .38 Super Automatic +P; also known as the .38 Super +P, this round has many reasons for being in their collection. For those shooters who don’t want to handload all their ammunition and don’t want to overpay ridiculously, this is a great choice for the range.
This round is suitable for use in all .38 Super Automatic +P firearms. If unsure, please check your owner’s manual and barrel for clarification as to whether this is the proper round to shoot in your firearm.
