The total metal jacket (aka “total metal case”) projectile in this round delivers identical recoil, point of aim and in-flight ballistics as a full metal jacket. The difference is in the TMJ’s jacket. Instead of leaving the bottom of its lead core exposed to igniting propellant, it completely blockades it away from the heat. Ignition won’t aerosolize lead as a result, which will keep your lungs happier and your barrel less adulterated by metallic residue.
Ammo Inc. exclusively loads 38 Special ammunition with virgin reloadable brass cases and noncorrosive Boxer primers. This particular ammo also features its manufacturer’s own Hyperclean Technology, which markedly reduces residue from uncombusted propellant.
