Unless you’re in the middle of bear country, you never have to worry about not having enough gun when you’ve got a 357 Magnum. In all honesty, even range ammo is pretty well poised to level a threat when there’s that much revolver behind it. But why not get get as much mileage out of each trigger pull as you’re able by loading jacketed hollow points?

Prvi Partizan recorded this round’s 1,607 fps muzzle velocity out of a 10” test barrel. Unless it’s a Buntline your revolver probably hasn’t got that much barrel on it, but even so this round packs the energy it needs to level a threat, fast. The hollow point bullet’s hard jacket helps as it penetrates heavy clothing, after which point the notches running down its side facilitate uniform terminal expansion.
