The V-MAX is aerodynamic thanks to its pointed tip and sleek jacket. It is also rotationally stable, as its concentric AMP jacket is wrapped around a voidless swaged lead core. This round’s V-MAX achieves the same 3,240 fps muzzle velocity as many other 223 rounds’ 55 grain bullets, but its superior 0.255 G1 ballistic coefficient gives it an even flatter trajectory.

This round’s low-drag V-MAX also retains enough momentum to initiate reliable expansion at ranges up to 500 yards. On impact the bullet’s polymer tip slams down into its core’s precision-formed nose cavity, triggering explosive and catastrophic terminal expansion immediately thereafter.
