World War 2 was a formative era for guns and combat alike. Paving the way for modern combat regimes, the U.S. military learned a lot about what kinds of firearms and ammunition works best to get the job done. Although we no longer use the technologies of that bygone era in combat, many of the relics of that time still remain in use by civilians. A fantastic example is the M1 Garand Rifle, the first standard issue semi-automatic weapon used by the U.S. Army. It fired 30-06 Springfield ammo, a .308 bullet with a longer case-length, made now obsolete by the 7.62×51 NATO.

Although powder has come far enough to produce similar results with shorter cases, if you want to use an M1 Garand, you still need that longer 30-06 round. Sellier & Bellot comes through with its 180 grain FMJ 30-06 round. With these, you can get your Springfield M1903 or M1 Garand working just as it did 70+ years ago in the Second World War.

These 30-06 Sellier & Bellot cartridges fire a 180 grain FMJ projectile at 2,673 feet per second. They produce 2,856 foot pounds of muzzle energy, and they are cased with reusable boxer-primed brass. The cartridges come packaged in 20 round cardstock boxes branded Sellier and Bellot, with this case containing 20 boxes total.
