This is a high-velocity cartridge, with a lightweight 36 grain projectile that enables it to achieve a muzzle velocity of 1,280 fps out of a rifle barrel. The bullet’s thin copper plating does help to minimize the amount of lead residue it’s able to deposit on the bore, and its nose cavity delivers rapid terminal expansion at close-to-mid-range.
