Not all steel shot loads are meant for hunting waterfowl. This shell’s 0.105” diameter shot pellets aren’t made of just any old steel. It is Winchester’s proprietary Xpert steel, which is specially treated to resist the kind of corrosion which can make steel shot pellets rougher and less capable of tight patterning. The shell’s 1,325 fps muzzle velocity really flings its ounce of shot hard, but steel is too rigid to get deformed under so much pressure.

The hinged wad will help spare you from feeling too much recoil, and its thick full-length shot cup keeps such abrasive shot from putting permanent scrapes inside your smoothbore. This lead-free 12ga shotshell is loaded with Winchester’s usual reliable primer and powder, and its tough hull is ready for the reloading bench as soon as you’ve emptied out on a clay or a bird.
