This round has a full-power charge of propellant and will generate sufficient chamber pressure to cycle a semi-automatic. Its subsonic muzzle velocity is the product of its heavy 200 grain bullet’s added inertia. Zero sharp cracking report on ignition will make a suppressor more effective, and it will also quiet down a non-suppressed firearm’s performance as well!
Don’t mistake this round’s bullet for a hollow point! It is an open tip, and accordingly incapable of expanding while it penetrates a threat or quarry. The open tip’s lead core is form-fitted, which alongside its superior jacket concentricity promotes stellar accuracy. This round’s open tip bullet also has a jacketed flat base, which will avoid deformation so it can continue to present an even surface for propellant gasses to thrust against.
Winchester loads this versatile target ammo (which could also be used to humanely kill varmints) in the U.S. with premium reusable brass cases, clean-burning propellant and non-corrosive Boxer primers.
