This round’s 180 grain bullet is the heaviest Remington loads in their Core-Lokt Tipped series 30-06 ammo. Its superior inertia grants it the ability to overcome wind drift, as does its boat tail. The bullet’s large emerald-colored polymer tip gives way to a sleek, aerodynamic profile that secures faster downrange velocities. Its 0.480 G1 ballistic coefficient means that the projectile will strike a 466-yard target with 1,500 ft lbs of energy, or a 710-yard target with 1,000 ft lbs.

Remington may have enhanced the Core-Lokt bullet by adding a polymer tip to it, but they kept the jacket which nips into the bullet’s tough, solid lead core to promote greater weight retention. While the bullet conserves enough momentum to enter deeply into its target, its polymer tip presses inward to unbridle fast and wide expansion. The deadly terminal ballistics it takes to take down large game!
