A 45 grain bullet is the hallmark of a varmint and predator 223 cartridge. Its muzzle velocity is what people in Boston would call “wicked fast.” At 3,550 fps, it gives the projectile a ballistic coefficient of 0.173 for a corresponding laser-like trajectory.
