This ammo will not work in 7mm Rem Mag rifles, 7mm-08 rifles, or any other rifles that aren’t specifically chambered for 7mm PRC.

Hornady named it the 7mm Precision Rifle Cartridge, and they loaded their Match series ammo so it could fully live up to its name! This cartridge’s Extremely Low Drag Match projectile carves a laser-like trajectory toward its target, so you can “easily” hit your mark at 1,000+ yards.

The ELD Match features the Heat Shield tip. It is made of heat-resistant polymer, so it can’t become warped while it is subjected to brutal aerodynamic heating. (The tip is not designed to trigger terminal expansion, which is why the ELD Match is not suitable for hunting anything larger than varmints.) The bullet’s sleek secant ogive geometry and boat tail both help it stir up as little drag as possible, and its AMP jacket doesn’t contain imperfections that could have thrown its trajectory off kilter.

All of these features stack up to give the 180 grain ELD Match a G7 ballistic coefficient of 0.401 (G1 0.796). If you do take aim to 1,000 yards, you can expect the little bullet’s trajectory to peak at approximately 76.48”. That sure puts the 22 LR to shame!
