The ELD-X possesses an extremely concentric AMP jacket, giving it exceptional rotational stability. Its boat tail design greatly lessens the turbulence it produces en route to its target, thus flattening its trajectory. The ELD-X’s secant ogive profile further heightens its ballistic coefficient, and its Heat Shield tip is immune to the effects of aerodynamic heating so that it may fly true.
That Heat Shield tip serves to initiate devastating expansion when the ELD-X hits its target at lower velocities. At such velocities this bullet’s thick jacket shank and InterLock ring promote weight retention of no less than 85 percent — even when it strikes at higher velocities, the ELD-X retains no less than half of its weight to ensure deep and debilitating penetration.
