Sierra is first and foremost a bulletsmith, which is why their Sports Master jacketed hollow point is such a hight quality bullet. This 45 ACP round’s 185 grain JHP features the Power Jacket, which is designed to promote fast and uniform expansion. Skives radiate out of the Sports Master bullet’s tip, which ensure the jacket splits apart into uniform sections as the bullet rapidly fans outward. Although lightweight, the JHP’s fast muzzle velocity lets it transfer over 400 ft lbs of energy into its target at close range. That is about 33% more energy than is commonly advised for personal protection.
