The Extreme Point is aptly named. This round’s 150 grain bullet has a gargantuan polymer tip, but it’s not just an accuracy-enhancing feature. On impact the tip’s broad base upsets the bullet greatly, triggering rapid and wide expansion that delivers debilitating hydrostatic shock to the quarry. The Extreme Point’s alloyed lead core and tapered jacket both exaggerate these terminal ballistics to ensure a quick, clean and humane kill.
The Extreme Point’s polymer tip comprises nearly half of its frontal surface. So sleek a meplat creates very little drag, as does the bullet’s streamlined profile. The flat-based bullet follows a steady trajectory and retains over 1,900 ft lbs of energy at 400 yards – ample for hunting any American hoofed game.
