A near perfect mainstream rifle hunting cartridge for those who prefer to shoot all-copper projectiles or who are mandated by law. The polymer tipped TTSP (Tipped Triple Shock X) is an all copper projectile (except the tip which is a rubberized polymer which enhances ballistic coefficient and expansion of the projectile at impact.
All copper projectiles are hunting dynamos – their weight retention and hard hitting energy transfer make them ideal for tough game with think hides and heavy bone structures. The VOR-TX line by Barnes offers the venerable TTSX projectile in one of the most popular, and versatile cartridges in the modern shooting world in the .308 Winchester. The combined lower cost (because of wider availability) and the relatively good ballistics for the relatively moderate recoil, makes this one of the easiest Barnes VOR-TX cartridges to buy and shoot.
This .308 Win also punches above its weight class with the 150 grain projectile achieving 2820 feet per second velocity and 2649 ft. lbs. of energy at the muzzle.
