One of the true legacy rounds for the American big game hunter, just in time for deer season. The Core-Lokt PSP by Remington in .30-06 is the quintessential large game hunting round that made Remington such a player in the ammunition space in the 60’s 70’s 80’s and 90’s. It has no intention of letting up on growth or turning away the accolades it routinely receives.
The generous 180 grain projectile gives it the upper end flexibility for larger game that has been instrumental in cementing the .30-06 Springfield as a versatile large game cartridge. It is easily capable of being on hunts with the largest game in North America with very few exceptions. The 2700 feet per second velocity and 2910 ft. lbs. of energy is potent, and the Core-Lokt design ensures weight retention on impact, with the PSP (pointed soft point) offering the type of expansion that helped make this an American Classic.
Remington’s green and yellow boxes being seen as the standard in reliability is a concept that isn’t lost on the newer hunters either. Most who see the Core-Lokt box know by sight that this is a winning round. Such is the reputation of Remington at this point in their history.
