A superior load for the money, the Fiocchi brand has a tendency to offer exceptional value across the board. In this specific case, this is a well positioned .30-06 Springfield ammunition that can be used for everything from hunting to target use to long range match shooting out of most guns, with a particularly good performance out of bolt action rifles from about 100-450 yards, because of the soft point bullet configuration.

The soft point bullet, even with the boat tail profile will suffer a small amount from a ballistic coefficient perspective (wind shedding performance) compared to full metal jacketed projectiles but will still give more than adequate stopping power at the full range of the .30-06 with proper practice and trajectory understanding. The added benefit of better deformation without adverse grain retention issues means you are getting a very good hunting round out of the Fiocchi factory.

The 150 grain weight projectile gives enough stopping power for most of the game in North America and similarly sized game outside of the continent, with the upper end being tough mountain ram, small bears and moose, with everything below that, within the scope of the cartridge and this load.
