Your average person thinks 25-06 is 19. But the hunter knows the 25-06 as one of the all-time great deer hunting wildcat cartridges. If you’d like to take this classic round out into the woods and come back with a deer, then you need only order a box of Hornady Superformance!

This cartridge’s 117 grain bullet is Hornady’s own Super Shock Tip. (Not to be confused with the Supper Shock Tip, where you give your waitress $100 for bringing you a meatloaf sandwich.) The SST is an intensely accurate bullet with a streamlined secant ogive profile, fully jacketed boat tail base, and aerodynamic polymer tip.

The instant it collides with a deer, the SST’s tip spears into its core’s nose cavity. It unleashes massive disruption to transfer crippling energy to its target, although the SST’s jacket and core remain as one thanks to the mid-body cannelure and Interlock ring which tether the components so tightly together.

Superformance ammo is loaded with Hornady’s progressive propellant to increase a rifle’s muzzle velocity by 200 fps. It manages to pull off this trick without adding more chamber pressure, muzzle blast, recoil, fouling, or even loss of accuracy! This brass-cased and non-corrosive ammo is also designed with great versatility in mind, so it will function properly in any hunting rifle.
