This 243 Win cartridge from Winchester’s Deer Season XP ammo line is absolutely lethal to ungulates. Its 95 grain Extreme Point (XP) bullet takes its name from its enormous polymer tip — by covering a whopping 48 percent of its frontal area, it not only provides a streamlined meplat to promote a flat trajectory, but is also able to initiate rapid, massive expansion beginning just after the moment of impact. That expansion is made all the deadlier the XP’s expertly tapered jacket, and its tough alloyed lead core retains the weight that the XP requires to burrow deeply through tough hide and muscle. So wide and deep a wound cavity translates to a fast, humane kill that ends a hunt just as you hope for!
This exciting modern bullet benefits tremendously from The American Legend’s considerable experience making high quality components.
