This cartridge’s 124 grain total metal jacket bullet leaves a streak of green light in its path, which makes its trajectory highly visible in low-light environments including indoor ranges. But the TMJ is not incendiary, and is no more likely to start a fire than any conventional bullet. The TMJ’s bottom is simply treated with a special luminescent chemical, which reflects green light back at the firing line when it is illuminated by bright muzzle flash. Very clever!
The TMJ projectile is especially well-suited for indoor range use. Its core is totally surrounded by its copper jacket, so ignition can’t burn any lead off it during ignition. You’ll inhale less toxic lead, which is always nice, and you’ll note that TMJs also keep your barrel relatively cleaner.
Streak ammunition features Ammo Inc.’s Hyperclean Technology, which halves cleaning time by dramatically reducing the accumulation of propellant residue. Ammo Inc.’s own new brass cases make this specialty target ammo reloadable!
