We’d like to emphasize the most important details about this 7.62x54r ammo right off the bat. This ammo is corrosive. That means its primers will produce hygroscopic salts upon ignition. The residue will attract moisture that causes rusting unless you take extra steps while cleaning your rifle. Furthermore, this ammo is magnetic. That means its bullets contain steel that will attract a magnet. As such, you will be unable to fire these cartridges at ranges which prohibit magnetic ammunition.
One more crucial detail: This is 7.62x54r ammunition. It will not function in 7.62×39, or 7.62×51 or 308 Win firearms.
Sorry about all the caveats, but we really don’t want people to get upset about receiving such cool ammo! These rounds were created by Sellier & Bellot back when the company was headquartered in the now defunct nation of Czechoslovakia. They’re loaded with 148 grain full metal jacket projectiles, and they feature the economical steel cases and Berdan primers budget-minded shooters like to see. S&B produced this ammo in 1989, but it’s in good condition thanks to its hermetic packaging!
