This is simple range and target ammunition. We aren’t daft – we would never say that a full metal jacket projectile couldn’t neutralize a threat to your safety, but we would advise selecting a jacketed hollow point for defensive shooting. The FMJ’s place is at the shooting range, where its smooth-feeding, clean-shooting and non-expanding performance are all exactly what you want. The 124 grain projectile achieves a 1,150 fps muzzle velocity once it clears a 4” barrel, and it is completely steel-free (i.e. nonmagnetic).

Federal exclusively loads reloadable brass cases, low-fouling propellant and noncorrosive Boxer primers (meaning that this ammo won’t cause your firearm to rust if you only clean it normally after target practice). This ammo is made just outside of the Twin Cities in Anoka, MN.
