Each case of Federal XM80 7.62x51mm ammo contains 500 rounds that have been distributed into 25 individual boxes. The XM80 is encased in a bi-metal 149 grain jacket consisting of brass and steel and has an average muzzle velocity 2750 feet per second.

Due to their jacket, full metal jacket ammunition (FMJ) leaves minimal lead residue in the rifling of a weapon’s barrel and thus helps maintain operable condition for high volume shooters. In addition, the non-corrosive boxer primers within Federal bulk 7.62×51 ammunition further enhance a weapon’s serviceability over extended periods of time. These attributes help make the XM80 ideally suited for hours of inexpensive training or target practice at a private range.
