A fitting colored box by Winchester for a plain vanilla range round. White. The Winchester white box .45ACP ammunition is one of the most proven consumer market loads in history. By all accounts this stuff is the workhorse of the industry. It’s a little dirtier, a simple load style and it recoils moderately, but it is cheap, reliable and stays on target round after round, without hiccups or feeding issues or difficulty on the range.

Many millions of rounds of Winchester white ox .45 Auto have been shot, year in and year out for decades. It’s kind of a thing. When a load is humble, reliable, accurate, and free from marketing hype, it grows fast by word of mouth. This stuff gets you on the range without any fanfare to just put lead down range. It’s a beloved cartridge for the 1911 shooter who for decades was trying to find a hardball round that worked on every level with finicky after market parts and modifications. This stuff just goes bang – All the time.

It’s not incredibly impressive for ballistics if you wanted to use it for self defense but it would work if you needed it. The slow moving, moderately recoiling 230 grain bullet goes out of the muzzle at 835 fps and delivers about 355 ft. lbs. of energy at bore exit.

Suitable in all .45 ACP firearms.
