They are just as incapable of undergoing terminal expansion as well. The TMJ’s real benefit comes from its jacket, which leaves no part of its lead core’s base exposed to burning hot propellant. The TMJ prevents lead fouling that gradually loosens a handgun’s accuracy. It also doesn’t produce toxic gas, which is a huge plus while you’re training indoors!
