This .357 Magnum ammo from Remington’s UMC division is a soft point load that will serve well for hunting purposes. Each cartridge in this bulk priced case of 500 fires a 125 grain jacketed soft point bullet at a muzzle velocity of 1,450 feet per second (faster in carbines!). This high velocity is necessary for the soft point to expand more reliably.

The UMC (“Union Metallic Cartridge”) brand dates back to the Civil War era. It is currently owned by Remington, which is an even older company and one of the few companies making both guns and ammo in the world. UMC ammo uses non-corrosive Boxer primers and reloadable brass cases.
