This ammo is manufactured by Fiocchi Ammo as a part of their Extrema Rifle line, these .300 Blackout bullets are made to extremely tight tolerances. The 125 grain Hornady SST bullets were chosen for the Fiocchi .300 Blackout round because it’s a superb bullet for their application. The SST or Super Shock Tip bullet has unique features that make it a great choice for defensive use or hunting. The well-known Hornady blue polymer tip is great for ballistic performance, but it also pushes rearward into the solid lead core, opening up the bullet and causing extensive tissue damage. The SST has a copper jacket that is “locked” or bonded to the lead core of the bullet using Hornady’s “Interlock” system, and a mid-body cannelure design for better crimping strength around the body of the bullet.
