The Federal 64gr .223 TRU Soft Point features Federal’s signature soft point tip. The lead core is exposed at the forward tip of the round just beyond the copper jacket. Upon impact, the lead core mushrooms in advance of the jacket portion of the round, and creates a significant wound channel well in excess of the bullet expanded diameter.
