The 240gr semi jacketed soft point round expands larger than traditional hollow point rounds due to the innovative design of the bullets face. By leaving the lead core exposed beyond the forward tip of the heavy copper jacket, the Fiocchi 240gr .44 Mag SJSP round violnelty expands upon impact due to the soft lead core being pressed rearward against the hardened copper jacket, and is capable of expanding out to two times the rounds original diameter.
Pure brass cartridges provide smooth feeding with use of moon clips or speed loaders, and the boxer style primers are easily removed during the reloading process for large bore shooters who are interested in reloading their our rounds. Self defense shooters looking for more power the traditional semi automatics can provide will be well satisfied with the Fiochi 240gr .44 Mag SJSP.
