This cartridge features a 100 grain total metal case projectile, which is identical in form and function to the bullet you may already know as a total metal jacket. The TMJ would be identical to the FMJ if not for one key difference: its jacket covers the base of its lead core instead of exposing it to scorchingly hot igniting propellant. The benefits of a TMJ are two-fold: the virtual elimination of lead fouling in the barrel (we say “virtual” because this ammo’s primers do contain lead); and no aerosolization of the lead core during ignition, which will keep your lungs fresher, pinker and happier (particularly if you intend to train at an indoor range).

Ammo Inc.’s Hyperclean Technology, which reduces the amount of propellant that doesn’t combust during ignition, also helps to keep a pistol cleaner during target practice.
