These 38 Special rounds are manufactured to Magtech’s high quality standards that produce consistently accurate cartridges. The 125 grain Full Metal Jacket Flat Nose Bullet pushes speeds of 938 Feet Per Second and hits with a hefty 244 foot pounds. These rounds are built using the above mentioned 38 special 125 grain FMJ Flat Nose bullets, Factory Magtech Brass cases, and primed with non-corrosive small pistol primers. The cases are Boxer primed, manufactured to SAAMI Specs, and factory new. The 38 Special cartridge can also be fired from a 357 Mag chamber, and its one of the easiest rounds to hand-load. Our Magtech 38 special rounds come 50 to a box. These smaller 50 round boxes are a great way to test out that derringer of yours, that new lever action you want to shoot for speed, or target shooting with your new revolver at the range.
The 38 Special round was originally designed for the Military by Smith & Wesson to improve upon the existing 38 Long Colt cartridge because it didn’t have enough stopping power. The 38 Special was introduced in 1898 and still remains in production today due to its massive popularity.
