Unless you’re in the middle of bear country, you never have to worry about not having enough gun when you’ve got a 357 Magnum. In all honesty, even range ammo is pretty well poised to level a threat when there’s that much revolver behind it. Prvi Partizan recorded this round’s 1,607 fps muzzle velocity out of a 10” test barrel. Unless it’s a Buntline your revolver probably hasn’t got that much barrel on it, but even so this round packs the energy it needs to level a threat, fast. The hollow point bullet’s hard jacket helps as it penetrates heavy clothing, after which point the notches running down its side facilitate uniform terminal expansion.
