This cartridge features a 180 grain FMJ to emulate the recoil and ballistic performance of a 180 grain JHP. It feeds efficiently from a magazine, and doesn’t muck up a barrel with a lot of lead residue. Blazer’s FMJ sports a protected base, which prevents fiery ignition from evaporating the core’s lead for you to breathe in as you’re picking off targets. A huge benefit at indoor ranges!
As a Blazer Brass round, this cartridge’s casing is made of supple brass instead of relatively brittle aluminum. It is a fine investment for a handloader because of it, and made even better by CCI’s own high quality primer and clean burning propellant.
