Federal American Eagle ammo is one of the most popular ball ammunition lines on the market. If you carry Hydra-Shok or HST ammo for self defense, Federal builds American Eagle ammo at the same facility in Anoka, Minnesota. The 40 was developed in the late Eighties in the wake of the tragic FBI Miami shootout.
