30 Rounds of 5.56×45 Ammo by Winchester – 62gr FMJ M855 on Stripper Clips With Loader
$27.75
Ammo Manufacturer – Winchester
Projectiles – 62 grain full metal jacket (FMJ) M855
Ammo Casings – Boxer-primed brass
Muzzle Velocity – 3,060 fps
Muzzle Energy – 1,289 ft lbs
This round’s bullet is a little heftier than usual at 62 grains, thus enabling it to conserve more momentum and strike with greater force. On its outside the bullet is just a normal full metal jacket, with a gilding metal shell and solid point nose profile. The green paint indicates what’s special about the M855 bullet: the solid steel insert which makes up the frontal section of its otherwise solid lead core. Its steel tip enables the M855 projectile to penetrate barriers more effectively – but it also quite naturally means that the bullet will attract a magnet. That’s why this ammo’s not acceptable for use at all commercial ranges, so take care!
This noncorrosive Boxer-primed ammo is loaded with brand new brass cases. They are indeed discolored, but that isn’t because they were previously fired and reloaded. Every brass case is heat-treated at the factory. The annealing process makes brass stronger. Commercial ammo cases are typically polished after they’re annealed. Military-grade cases aren’t polished, because cosmetics don’t count for anything on a battlefield and militaries like to see proof that their ammo was manufactured correctly.
