Its progressively tapered jacket and symmetrical array of notches both facilitate expansion over a generous range of velocities. The XTP’s jacket fully protects its rim, which promotes smoother feeding into a lever gun’s chamber and prevents deformation until the XTP has entered into a soft medium. The XTP also features a cannelure that’ll keep recoil from jarring it loose from its seating in the case mouth – that promotes unobstructed cylinder rotation.
