This American-made ammo would hold its own during an upland game hunt, but it’s specifically designed for annihilating clays. Each shell packs a 7/8 ounce barrage of #7.5 shot pellets, which are ideally sized for clapping fast-flying targets. Fiocchi makes each shot pellet from extra hard lead, screens it three times, and cradles it in a high-quality hinged wad. Once the shell’s sensitive primer and clean-burning powder start doing their trick, the shell’s wad collapses to lessen felt recoil while simultaneously preventing pellet deformation. The 306 pellets proceed to form a narrow and effective pattern, and their 1,200 fps muzzle velocity ensures that they’ll fly flat and conserve ample clay-crushing energy downrange.
