Winchester’s Xtra-Lite 12 gauge loads offer excellent quality at a reasonable price by way of choice components and exceptional craftsmanship. Each of these rounds utilizes a 2-3/4 inch moisture-repelling hull with smooth walls for easy insertion and fast reloads; this hull length is compatible with the widest range of shotguns but also matches the chamber length of top tier sporting pieces. Inside the round is an ounce of #8 shot which is a standard load for clay pigeons as well as for pheasants, doves, and crows at medium range.

The shot load has been chilled and hardened and is contained with the petaled cup of an AA wad for shape preservation. Rounder shot is less likely to fly erratically out of its pattern and results in denser clouds with greater terminal effect on game and cleaner clay breaks. In addition, the AA wad provides consistent muzzle velocity and softened felt-recoil with its expanding rear skirt and crushing center-column.
