By shrinking the size of its shot column to a mere ounce, Federal gives this round a breakneck 1,330 fps muzzle velocity without having to stray above standard chamber pressure. This shell is loaded with small #8 shot, so its pattern is still over 400 pellets thick. It is a narrow pattern, too, as Federal’s hard lead keeps their pellets round and aerodynamic enough to maintain virtually parallel trajectories.
