This 40 S&W cartridge by Fiocchi features the hard-hitting terminal performance of Hornady’s 155 grain XTP projectile. The XTP’s expansion is the height of uniform, controlled for by serrations that precisely divide its jacket into symmetrical sections, as well as the varying thicknesses spanning the jacket’s entire length. Hornady’s characteristically concentric jacket along with the XTP’s swaged lead core both convey exceptional accuracy, and because the XTP’s jacket shields the lead in its nose cavity the bullet’s terminal effect and ability to feed in a semi-automatic are both highly reliable.
Fiocchi expertly assembled this round from premium components. Its reloadable brass casing wears a thin plating of nickel, which reduces the friction it creates to ensure smooth feeding and extraction in a semi-auto. Nickel furthermore prevents corrosion, and is a lot easier to spy in a chamber than duller brass while you’re in a dark environment. A sure-fire solution for self-defense!
